How Do Boilers Work?
- All boilers contain a few key components - a heat exchanger, a burner, a circulator (pump), and some type of control system.
- When heated water is required, the pump(s) start turn on
- When the pump(s) turn on, water begins circulating through the boiler
- The burner will ignite to heat the water.
- Depending on your system, heated water or steam will pass through the house/building.
- The boiler control will operate to maintain the outgoing water at the temperature required.
- Where water is heated for flooring, as the water cools (or steam condenses), it travels back to the boiler where it is reheated and sent back out to maintain the temperature required.
